NCCU QM Peer Reviewers

An integral component of the Quality Matters Peer Review process is the Peer Review Committee composed of experienced online instructors trained in the evaluation of online course design. The Office of e-Learning encourages online instructors from all disciplines to complete the Peer Reviewer Course. This course provides a review of the Quality Matters Rubric, offers training on how to write helpful recommendations, and allows potential reviewers to participate in a Practice Review.

QM Certified Peer Reviewer Eligibility Requirements

  • Successfully complete either the one-day (6.5 hours) face-to-face or 2-week online Applying the Quality Matters Rubric Course
  • Successfully complete the 2-week online QM Peer Reviewer Course
  • Have teaching experience instructing a for-credit online course within the last 18 months
  • Complete and submit the Quality Matters Peer Reviewer Application and Memorandum of Understanding
