About NCCU Academics Admissions Athletics Campus Life Giving Research

The Division of Institutional Advancement is responsible for securing and stewarding private dollars donated by individuals, corporations and foundations to North Carolina Central University. The Division also engages and nurtures alumni through the Office of Alumni Relations and is responsible for overseeing and expanding the university’s brand presence via the Office of University Relations. The overall mission of the Division is to create a culture of philanthropy for the university.

We are grateful for each gift we receive, whether it supports the annual fund, comes as a corporate giftfoundation grant or is a planned gift. These contributions all ultimately support NCCU’s No. 1 priority: student success.

Our primary goals include:

  • Increasing NCCUs alumni participation rate in giving
  •  Increasing corporate and foundation partnerships
  • Promoting the NCCU brand to targeted constituencies in key markets
  • Growing the university’s endowment

Our team of experienced development professionals work to secure private resources to meet the university’s areas of greatest need, including scholarship support for our students. They can answer any questions you may have about investing in NCCU.

If you are one of our many NCCU alumni looking to get reconnected with the university, please contact our Office of Alumni Relations. The Office maintains and strengthens relationships between alumni and the university, and it sponsors a variety of educational, recreational and culturally enriching activities that encourage ongoing support and advocacy on behalf NCCU.

The Office of University Relations tells NCCU’s story through a variety of communications channels. The office promotes and publicizes the university’s many academic and extracurricular programs, as well as student and faculty achievements.  The Office of University Relations produces the university’s alumni magazine and maintains the university’s social media accounts.
