Description North Carolina Central University recognizes students with a minimum cumulative grade point average of 3.0. The University recognizes students in a number of categories, from the Chancellor’s Award and University Award recipients — the university’s top honors — to deans’ lists and departmental academic honors. In addition, students are recognized for distinctions in scholarly groups, honor societies and scholarships. The groups, societies and scholarships listed in this convocation program are those submitted by deans, chairs and directors of each respective academic unit.
