Stefanie Frigo was born in Belfast, Northern Ireland. Before attending university, she spent time living and studying in both Sierra Leone and France. After completing her undergraduate degree in English Literature at Cambridge University, she taught English as a second language in Eastern Europe for three years. Dr. Frigo returned to university to complete her Master's and Ph.D. at Queen's University Belfast, graduating in 1999. After time spent as a teaching assistant in the Department of English at Queen's, she moved to the United States. Dr. Frigo spent four years at Georgia Southern University teaching linguistics and composition, and joined the Department of Language and Literature at NCCU in 2010. Dr. Frigo teaches linguistics courses as well as composition and technical writing.
