Rolin Mainuddin is associate professor of political science at North Carolina Central University. He received his Ph.D. in political science from the University of Kansas. Before earning two master's degrees in political science and administrative studies, respectively, from Ohio University, he completed graduate and undergraduate studies in international relations at Dhaka University (Bangladesh). He is a former president of the North Carolina Political Science Association (2002-2003) and the Association of Third World Studies (1998-1999). In addition to editing a book, Religion and Politics in the Developing World: Explosive Interactions (Ashgate), his articles have appeared in Asian Journal of Peacebuilding; Indian Journal of Asian Affairs; Journal of Political Science, Government and Politics (online); Journal of Third World Studies; Mid-American Journal of Politics; Middle East Policy; and Military Review.
