Clinical Nutrition & Counseling Experience:
Before coming to NCCU, Jason gained a wealth of experience working as a clinical dietitian (RDN). In his primary role as a Diabetes Self Management Educator, he worked at depth with patients to achieve glycemic control through targeted nutrition interventions, medical management and various lifestyle factors. He partnered with other medical specialists to complement the care of cardiovascular disease, obesity, bariatric, chronic kidney disease and disordered eating patients. Working with many high school athletes aspiring to make the jump to collegiate athletics further fueled his passion and interest for sports nutrition.

He also covered the critical care floors for a 350 bed hospital to round-out his pre-academic experiences.
