Working in the High Throughput Screening and Drug Discovery Core Facility at the BRITE Institute and the Pharmaceutical Sciences Department. As a Senior Scientist at BRITE, I co-manage our 450,000 chemical compound library, perform assay development, optimization, and screening; and assist in automation for HTS efforts.

I transition manual methods to automated methods to increase throughput for screening efforts. I make assay-ready plates and I design automated methods to carry out hands-off assays performed entirely by robotics. I work across multiple assay technology platforms including luminescence, fluorescence, fluorescence polarization, absorbance, FLIPR, and cell based imaging.

We welcome collaborations with other academic institutions: We can help transition your assays from development to screening capability and miniaturize your assay to save reagents and time.
My favorite project so far has been working on combined drug therapy treatment for breast cancer.

In addition to research, I also participate in outreach activities by engaging young students in learning about science. Our facility sees over 1,000 students each year through camps and tours.

Almost 20 years work experience in High Throughput Screening and Drug Discovery.
