1110 Biomanufacturing Research Institute and Technology Enterprise (BRITE)


Biosensors Technology laboratory. Survival assays after drug treatment comparing 2D and 3D cell culture systems. Compare protein expression levels of target proteins via western blot. Responsible for ordering the supplies needed in a timely manner and staying within budget. Writes justifications for equipment and supplies and helps with administrative duties that can be off loaded from PI. Keep the lab organized, clean, and maintain all safety documentation according to regulations for students and laboratory i.e. the daily operations of the laboratory. Teach and mentor students of all levels that work in laboratory. Briefly (2012) worked in a laboratory studying the role of Hyperthyroidism on Breast Cancer. (2008-2011)Natural Products Drug Discovery Laboratory. Train students from any PI’s lab on sterile techniques and basic cell culture techniques at the PI’s request. Serve as one of the team of instructors for the Bioprocessing Class Lab module. Due to her previous safety committee experience Ms. Adcock was selected to serve on the BRITE safety committee.
